RE Skout is the alternative: an independent directory where reviews are written by active real estate operators — wholesalers, flippers, agents, brokers, lenders, property managers — under their own name and business.
Who runs this
We're Joshua and Ashley Hines, co-founders of Impact Home Team — a Maryland wholesaling and cash-buying business with 500+ acquisitions since 2016. Ashley has held a Maryland real estate license since 2012. The tools and lenders reviewed here are ones our team evaluates, or actively runs, in real deals.
Why we started it
We got tired of reading “Top 10 CRMs for wholesalers” lists where every entry was a paid placement and every review was just a feature dump. The honest part of any tool — the tradeoff, the learning curve, who it's actually for — was always missing. So we're publishing the version with the tradeoffs left in.
What this site is
- A directory of real estate tools and lenders, organized by job-to-be-done (find leads, manage deals, fund deals, market & convert).
- Operator-bylined reviews scored on a single published rubric (results, ease, support, value).
- Head-to-head comparisons for the matchups operators actually look at.
- Coming after launch: Creator Stores where operators publish the stack they actually run and earn referral commissions on the products inside it.
How it's monetized
Affiliate and referral links to the tools we review. The links are disclosed on every page, and they never affect editorial. A product's commission rate doesn't move it up or down a list. The directory lists products with no affiliate relationship right alongside the ones that pay us.
