Creator fees & disclosure

What every creator (and buyer) should know about how money flows on RE Skout.

The headline

RE Skout takes a 10% platform feeon every sale processed through a Creator Store. If a buyer pays $100 for a creator's product, the creator receives $90 and RE Skout retains $10. Stripe processing fees are deducted from the platform side, not the creator side.

What you get for the 10%

  • Hosted storefront at reskout.com/your-slug
  • Stripe Connect onboarding + automatic payouts
  • Order processing, receipts, and post-purchase access delivery
  • SEO + discovery surface across category pages and search
  • Built-in inquiry inbox for buyer questions
  • Customer review collection tied to your storefront

Refunds

Refunds are creator-managed. Each creator decides their own refund policy and can issue refunds directly from their dashboard within the Stripe-supported window (typically 180 days from the sale). RE Skout returns its platform fee on refunded orders so creators are never out-of-pocket on a refund issued within policy.

Payouts

Payouts go directly from Stripe to the creator's connected bank account on a rolling two-business-day schedule (Stripe's standard). RE Skout never touches the funds — Stripe Connect routes the creator's 90% directly to them, then sweeps the 10% platform fee to RE Skout. Creators see every payout, fee, and refund inside Stripe.

Disclosure on every product

The 10% fee is disclosed inside the creator dashboard every time a product is created or edited, on the checkout page when a buyer pays, and on this dedicated page. We believe operators deserve to see exactly where their money goes.

Negotiated rates

The standard rate is 10%. Founding creators and high-volume partners may receive a custom rate set in their creator record by the RE Skout team — if a custom rate applies, it's shown alongside the standard disclosure inside the creator dashboard.
